Bed Assembly Instructions

1. Assembling Your Ottoman Storage Bed

Putting together an ottoman storage bed is straightforward. Follow the steps below for a smooth and hassle-free experience:

  • Step 1: Attach Chrome Legs

    • Insert the chrome legs into each base and secure them with a firm tap.
    • Important: Once locked in, these legs cannot be removed.

  • Step 2: Connect the Headboard

    • Align the headboard cutouts with the holes on the back of the ottoman base.
    • Pierce the fabric behind the headboard and base if necessary.
    • Screw in the bolts with the white washers fed through the back of the headboard. Use two bolts per side.

  • Step 3: Secure the Bases

    • Push the two U-clips into place to lock the bases together securely.
    • Use the plastic-headed bolt to join the lids.
      Note: There is a mark on the lids to indicate where the screws go.

    The lids will not close without the mattress placed on top. If your bed includes a footboard, slide it into place after the lids are secured.

2. Gas Lift Bed Frame Assembly

Setting up a gas lift bed frame requires care and attention. We recommend having two people to make the process easier.

Stap 1

Assemble the bed frame by attaching the headboard, side rails, and footboard. Slot the side rails into the headboard and footboard, aligning them properly. Use a size 13-14 spanner to tighten the bolts. Place the long black support bar inside the storage base before proceeding to the gas lift assembly.

  • Step 2

    Unpack the metal slatted frame and accompanying parts.

    • Attach the small black bars to the frame using the Allen key bolts.
    • Fix the U-bar to one side of the frame.

  • Step 3

    Install the gas lift pistons.
    Tip: If the pistons do not align, gently twist them until they fit properly.

  • Step 4

    Place the metal slatted frame on top of the bed frame. The U-bar indicates the head side of the frame. Secure it using the remaining bolts (3 bolts per side).
    Note: The gas lift will not function until a mattress is placed on top to release the lock.

3. Bed Frame with Blackboard Assembly

This process should take approximately 15 minutes.

  • Step 1

    Remove all bolts from the headboard and footboard (total of 8 bolts).

  • Step 2

    Attach the side rails (marked A and B) to the headboard. Tighten the bolts slightly.

  • Step 3

    Connect the side rails (marked C and D) to the footboard. Tighten the bolts slightly.

  • Step 4

    Place the support bar(s) in position (marked E) and tighten all bolts securely.

Step 5

If the bed comes with a blackboard, position it on top, ensuring a gap at the head and foot to access the underside of the bed.

4. Divan Base Bed Assembly

Setting up a divan base is quick and easy.

  • Step 1

    Remove the fabric drawer straps that secure the drawers during delivery:

    • Cut the strap at the center to release the drawer.
    • Trim any excess strap to avoid obstruction.

  • Step 2

    Attach the chrome legs to the base with a firm tap to lock them in place.
    Note: Once locked, the legs cannot be removed.


    Align the two divan bases and secure them with U-clips by clamping the timber underside.

  • Step 3

    Attach the headboard by screwing in the bolts with the white washers. Use 2 bolts for each side.

Mattress Setup

For Regular Mattresses:

Remove the airtight plastic wrap carefully, using scissors or a knife. Avoid damaging the mattress fabric.

Inspect for any damages upon delivery and report them immediately.

For Roll-Packed Mattresses:

After unwrapping, allow the mattress up to 24 hours to fully expand. It will regain 70-80% of its original shape within a few hours but requires 24 hours to reach full size.
